Noosa Car Rentals provides car hire in the following areas:

Age Limits

Noosa Car Rentals hires/rents to people over the age of 25 years. We value the experience of drivers over the age of 75, but are required to meet certain conditions of our insurance company. These conditions include a limitation in the area of use to within 100 kilometre radius of Noosa, increasing the multiple vehicle collision excess to $660 and faxing to our insurance company the driver’s details. The standard Single Vehicle Collision Excess of $1250 applies.

Authorised Area of Use

Vehicles must remain within a 300 kilometres radius of Noosa unless otherwise negotiated and indicated on the front page of the rental agreement, otherwise all excesses and waivers will be void due to a breach of contract. Please check if you are unsure if your destination falls within this area of use.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of bookings must be made at least 24 hours prior to commencement date and time. Cancellation after this date and time will incur an administration fee equivalent to a 1 day rental fee for the applicable vehicle. The current cancellation fee for a Corolla is $95, for a Yaris Sedan is $85 and for a Yaris Hatch is $75.

Child Restraints

Child restraints can be provided for a small fee. Responsibility for choosing the type of seat and ensuring the security of the fitting of the seat is the hirers/renters. Loss of or damage to the same is the hirers/renters responsibility and liability.

Collection and Return of the Vehicle

Cars may be picked up and returned to the following locations, subject to prior arrangement:

Sunshine Coast Airport Domestic Terminal/ Maroochydore

Subject to prior arrangement, a Noosa Car Rentals staff member will meet you as you come into the baggage claim area. We will be wearing a uniform with a Noosa Car Rentals logo and will be holding a welcome sign with your surname on it.

We will complete the paper work with you, help you to your car with the bags and provide directions if you need them.

Vehicles returning to the airport must be parked in the short-term car park marked on the map provided in each car’s glovebox. The procedure for leaving the car will be explained in person and is also marked out on the information card in the glovebox on the back of the airport parking map.

Accommodation in the Noosa Region

A free delivery and pickup service is available in the Noosa Region. A charge may apply to areas outside 5kms from Noosa. This can be discussed with the Noosa Car Rentals staff at the time of booking.

Condition of Vehicles on Return

A cleaning fee will be charged if the vehicle is not returned in a clean & tidy condition. No animals are allowed. No smoking is allowed in any of the vehicles or a professional detailing fee will be charged.

Driver Licence Requirements

Australian Renters

All current full Australian Drivers Licences are accepted. A Driver’s licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years.

Overseas Renters

An International Drivers Licence is preferred. However, an overseas Drivers Licence in legible English plus a current passport will also be acceptable. The Driver’s Licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years.

Fuel

Vehicles are supplied to you with a full tank of fuel. We ask that the vehicle is returned with at least the same amount of fuel or the renter will be charged the cost of fuel replenishment, plus GST, plus a service fee of $20.

Infringement Notices

The renter/hirer is liable for the payment of any infringement notices, parking fines or other expenses incurred during the term of their hire. A fee of $44 will be charged for handling the aforementioned expenses and for other enquiry from a legally authorised Government Authority. Unless notified by the hirer/renter, Noosa Car Rentals will assume the fine to be in the hirer’s/renter’s name.

Payment Methods

To comply with insurance conditions all hire/rental bookings must be secured and paid for by credit card and are subject to pre-authorisation. Accepted cards are Visa and MasterCard. Payment for the full amount of the hire/rental will be charged to the credit card supplied 24 hours prior to commencement of the hire/rental. Cancellation after this time will incur the applicable administration fee as per our Cancellation Policy.

Rates

Rates quoted by phone or email are all inclusive, drive away prices. They include GST (10%), Stamp Duty, daily rental rates, as many drivers over 25yrs as required.

Delivery is free within 5kms of Noosa or as negotiated with Noosa Car Rentals staff. A fee applies to Sunshine Coast Airport deliveries and pick-ups.

Starting rates advertised on this website are for 21 day rentals or longer.

Returning the Vehicle

In order not to inconvenience the next renter of your vehicle, we ask you return your vehicle no later than the contracted time or a late fee may apply. Any intention to return late must be made known to our office. Damage/Loss cover will cease on the return time and date stipulated on your rental agreement unless otherwise agreed.

Smoking Policy

As we try to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in our fleet, all our cars are non smoking vehicles. If cars have been smoked in, a detailing fee will be charged at the renter’s expense.

Street Directories and Maps

A street directory covering the Sunshine Coast is available on request. We ask that these remain in the car as they are the property of Noosa Car Rentals. We also provide local Sunshine Coast maps which are free and you are welcome to take them with you.
